We invite you to join the club and existing members to renew their membership. Membership runs from 1 July to 30 June annually. You can join any time of the year.

Benefits of membership

  • Members' rate to all events (typically <50% of non-member rates).
  • Special rates for members for maps, training sessions and reciprocal rights with other New Zealand orienteering clubs.
  • Affiliation to Orienteering New Zealand (ONZ) – in summary who promote and encourage orienteering in New Zealand; Conduct competitions and championships and affiliate with international or national organisations to advance the interests of ONZ.

Membership application and payment

We, along with all the other orienteering clubs in NZ have moved to a membership database that is hosted by ONZ. The purpose of the new database is to simplify membership management and membership reporting.

ONZ needs to collect membership information to:
• comply with the Incorporated Societies Act 1908
• provide information to Sport NZ, to support our Community Sport Investment
• set the annual club affiliation fee, and
• most importantly for our club members it provides details on all the people (including all people within a Family) who have joined 

Moving to an online database will ensure ONZ gets consistent membership information in a timely manner and clubs will no longer need to fill in membership returns. Clubs will have access to their members information through their club portal. ONZ will be able to access all club portals and all members information. Clubs cannot see members information from other clubs. Members can only see their own information. 

Please submit your details online via the link - here Reminder that when completing a Family membership that you MUST enter all the details of all the family members that you are signing up for the club membership. This allows us to easily track and reconcile entries and payments.     

Membership payment to the club account:  03-1369-0269952-00. You will be sent an email with the invoice details, club bank account and also a Reference. 

For an event if paying online then please use your surname and event name in the Reference and Particulars.  



The club has no employees to run our events for us, we rely on members volunteering to help out.

As a club member, you are expected to help at least at one event during the year.  It's normally only a couple of hours, you get free entry for that event and you will still be able to do a course at some stage of the day.
